Informative Poster Series Mac Miller

Informative Poster Series
Brief
This project involves creating a series of informative posters that communicate key messages in a visually engaging way. The posters will balance clear educational content with strong design elements, ensuring they are both informative and aesthetically appealing.
Informative content doesn’t have to be boring — when designed effectively, it can be clear, memorable, and visually striking.
Objective
The objective of this project was to learn the fundamentals of Illustrator and Photoshop while creating an engaging poster series. I wanted to translate Mac Miller’s albums into a cohesive set of visuals that captured the energy of his music.
Process
I started by collecting screenshots of Mac Miller’s albums K.I.D.S., Faces, Watching Movies With the Sound Off, GO:OD AM, and The Divine Feminine. My first hurdle was figuring out how to make the very different artworks, each with unique colors and typography, feel cohesive in a poster series.
After searching for design inspiration on Pinterest without much success, I pivoted and revisited one of my previous art projects: a wooden box I had painted with album covers. Ironically, it already featured several Mac Miller albums, which gave me a clearer visual direction for the posters.
This project pushed me to translate complex themes into clear, engaging visuals while also learning the fundamentals of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
