The SCRWD.WRLD poster series

SCRWD.WRLD needed a few posters made for a single they released from an upcoming album.

I created this poster for SCRWD.WRLD, they are a rap collective based in Houston, TX. I created this poster for one of their singles off their 2024 album "South Side Bound".

Process

This poster was created with the combination of Adobe illustrator and Phototshop. I created the wireframe globe in illustrator using the 3D effects in Illustrator, and played around with their surface textures. The globe you see in the middle is a sphere, but illustrator has the option to output the wireframe of an object. The type font is also custom made by myself using Illustrator. The color on the poster and overlays were created in photoshop.

Meaning

The collective SCRWD.WRLD uses a wireframe globe for many of their images and illustrations on social media, they also have a logo which is a wireframe of a globe. I used my prior knowledge in Illustrator to create an image that represents the collective and also to make it easy for their fanbase to recognize their branding on the poster.
